Twin brothers, Carter alumni, open Simmons Bank in RedBird

DALLAS ADVOCATE: Millions of dollars are currently being put into the RedBird redevelopment, and with a new Simmons Bank Brothers Tim and Terrance Maiden, Carter High School alumni, are involved in the financial investment going into the RedBird neighborhood and helped bring the bank, which operates in six states, to the region.

The brothers played football together at Carter and Texas Christian University, where they pursued careers in banking and real estate development.

“This area has historically been under-banked, but there is great client potential,” Tim Maiden, director of market development for Simmons Bank, told the Dallas Morning News. “Banks are institutions that help build long-term generational wealth.”

Terrance Maiden is the CEO of Russell Glen, the development company that has partnered with owner Peter Brodsky on the redevelopment of the RedBird mall. The brothers collaborated to settle on a bank location just across the street from the mall, the Morning News reports.

The location at 3309 W. Camp Wisdom Rd. marks the 23rd Simmons Bank location in DFW. The 2,750 square foot center will operate as a full-service bank branch, with a drive-thru lane and ATM. Five associates will be employed at the location.

And it’s just Simmons’ first taste of Oak Cliff.

A bank location is planned for Illinois Avenue and Hampton Road, the Morning News reports.
